Climbing Take on the rocky heights

Mountaineers know just how enthralling climbing is. Pushing yourself to your physical limits, trying to surpass yourself - just two reasons why so many people love the sport. The amazing Dolomites are probably the best place there is for climbing. Rugged rock formations and towering heights will test your abilities. Retrace the steps of Luis Trenker, the most famous Val Gardena mountaineer! There are many fixed-rope routes, indoor halls and courses around Selva that are also suitable for beginners.

Hiking Feel the pulse of nature

Discover a first-rate hiking paradise right on our doorstep. To take an example, the circular hike Naturonda starts at the Passo Sella and goes past the Emilio Comici hut to the “Città dei Sassi”. This hiking route is 1.7 km long, making it perfect for families with children. Wooden signs along the trail provide information on regional flora and fauna. Learn all kinds of interesting facts about the appearance, nutrition and habitat of wild animals such as foxes, chamois and marmots. You might be lucky enough to see some of them. Whilst you´re looking out for wild animals, you´ll also see some of the Val Gardena region´s Alpine herbs.Higher up, the route continues to the “Forcella del Sassolungo”. If you´re staying a minimum of 4 nights, we will give you the cable car ticket free of charge. Up here, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding area, and the hiking route around the Sassolungo Mountain starts here (approx. 3 hours).
